Eren Günhan Ulusoy, the Chairman of the Executive Board of Ulusoy Un, which has won the title of the first company in its sector ever to depart from Samsun and enter the stock market, met with Samsun press for the first time in iftar.
President of Turkish Flour Industrialists' Federation (TUSAF) and Chairman of the Executive Board of Ulusoy Un, Eren Günhan Ulusoy said: “1 kg out of each 15 kg of flour exported in the world is provided by Ulusoy Un."
The Chairman of Ulusoy Un Executive Board came together with national and local media representatives working in Samsun on the occasion of Ulusoy A.Ş. solidarity and cooperation iftar programme. The iftar programme, which seemed to bring people together to meet each other, took place in Serra Hotel. Günhan Ulusoy, who took care of the guests by visiting each table, chatted and exchanged ideas with them.
Eren Günhan Ulusoy, the Chairman of the Executive Board of Ulusoy Un, which is the first company in its sector ever to depart from Samsun and enter the stock market stated that Turkey is the flour manufacturing country of the world and said: "I am proud to represent the biggest producers of the world."
Indicating that export is conducted to over 100 countries in flour sector, which constitutes one of the most important export items of Turkey, Ulusoy added: "Turkey earned around 1 billion dollars in 2015 thanks to the success of flour industrialists in export. Contributions of federation members are undeniable in this achievement. We will continue our efforts at full speed to preserve Turkey's leadership in flour exportation in the world."
Chairman of the Executive Board of Ulusoy Un, which exports to all corners of the world from Angola and Benin to Guinea and from Philippines and Vietnam to Iraq and Israel and which has increased its export activities consistently since 1995 indicated: “Our company has gone through change and transformation. This change and transformation affected the organizational structure, turnover, and growth rate of our company. Our turnover, which was around 60 millions in 2006, went up to 1 billion 30 million liras by the end of 2015. We are talking about a 16-fold increase with a 30-40% growth each year. We ranked 472nd in 2014 and became 373rd in 2015 in ISO 500. We became the 5th company to rise most rapidly in the list of İSO 500. We went from 511 up to 301 in the list of exporters. While Turkey's export was 152 billion dollars in 2014, it dropped down to 145 billion dollars in 2015. Our export rose from 39 million dollars to 52 million dollars. We do our best to always take a step forward in this ranking."
Ulusoy added: "I was elected the president of Turkish Flour Industrialists' Federation last year and I have been in office for a year. Our country exports highest amount of flour in the world. We exported 2,8 million tons of flour worth 980 million in 2015 and Turkey sells one quarter of flour sold in the world. In these figures, Ulusoy Un provides 1 out of 15 kg. Turkey has held world leadership for the last 3 years. I am proud to represent our country in the capacity of president of this leading sector. I hope that we increase and continue our achievements and thank everyone joining our programme.”
