Ulusoy Un, as one of the reliable food suppliers that takes Turkish flour to the world, moved up 11 ranks among 1.000 companies that are the biggest exporters of 2014 as declared by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM).
Ulusoy Un, the first Samsun-based company listed in Borsa İstanbul AŞ, jumped 11 levels as compared to the previous year according to TİM’s data for 2014 and was ranked as the 513th. Ulusoy Un is the 5th in the list of exporting flour manufacturers.
Günhan Ulusoy, Chairman of Board at Ulusoy Un, said that as one of the biggest flour producers in Turkey they are now capable of exporting to 80 countries in 5 continents after a period of 26 years. Emphasising that they are one of the reliable food suppliers in the world with a daily wheat processing capacity of 900 tons, Ulusoy continued his remarks: “We are increasing our sales capacity with the developing domestic market and growing export markets. Our turnover increased by 5 percent in the first quarter of 2015 as compared to the same period of last year. We are planning to reach a daily production capacity of 1.500 tons at the end of 2016 to meet the increasing demand.”

Saying that daily production capacity will increase up to 1.500 tons upon completion in 2016 of the new factory investment with a daily processing capacity of 600 tons whose foundation was laid last year in Samsun Food Organized Industrial Zone, Ulusoy said, “In 2014 we made exports to a total of 29 countries including Samoa, Surinam and Democratic Republic of the Congo. In the medium and long term, we are planning to continue growth through new investments inTurkeyand abroad to become a global actor in the sector.”
