Domestic sales continued to grow in 2016, driven by the moderate rise in consumption. On the export side, we think that we will close the year at levels close to the annual target of our industry, 3.5 million tons of flour. With an export value of over 1 billion dollars, our country will maintain its first place in the world rankings this year as well. The share of Iraq, Sudan and Syria, where the highest export tonnages are made, in the total export tonnage exceeded 65 percent.


The low course of global wheat prices and the appreciation of the dollar against other currencies caused the average export prices to decrease by around 15 percent compared to the previous year. The growth in our total export tonnage in 2017 may be more limited this year.


As a company, we completed our licensed warehouse construction with a capacity of 42 thousand 500 tons, which started in Çorum/Alaca district in 2016. We will commission our 600 tons/day factory investment, which we continue to build in Samsun Food OIZ, in 2018.
