Eren Günhan Ulusoy, President of the Turkish Flour Industrialists' Federation (TUSAF), said, "The National Agriculture Project is a large-scale and revolution in the agricultural sector, in which the farmers will know in advance what they plant and how much support they will receive, and the products will be grown in scientifically determined regions in the 941 basins whose product maps have been drawn. It is a project that we can call it.” said.

Eren Günhan Ulusoy, President of the Turkish Flour Industrialists' Federation, said that soil, which has been at the forefront of the basic elements that ensure the survival and development of humanity since its existence, is a blessing that always distinguishes civilizations that use it correctly from others. Ulusoy, who made evaluations about the 'National Agriculture Project' carried out by the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, said: "The National Agriculture Project aims to ensure that the products are grown in scientifically determined areas in 941 basins where the product map has been drawn, that the farmers will know in advance what they plant and how much support they will receive. It is a large-scale project that we can call a revolution in the agricultural sector, where soil analyzes of more than 300 basins have been completed so far. Our farmers who produce lentils, corn, chickpeas, cotton, soybeans, oats, olives for oil, hazelnuts, triticale and fodder crops will be able to benefit from basin-based supports, thereby increasing productivity.Wheat and fodder crops, which are the raw materials of our industry, will be covered in all weathers. We support the National Agriculture Project, which we believe will be a very important step for the industry, first as citizens of this country and then as flour industrialists, and we believe that it will bring very beneficial results for our nation."

We must leave a legacy

Ulusoy, who stated that thanks to this project, the farmers will reduce their costs thanks to the support given and they will increase their yield as they will plant according to the basin guidelines, and continued: "The monetary equivalent of this is approximately 90 million dollars a year. It is planned to reduce this percentage in the coming period and to minimize foreign dependency by expanding the use of certified seeds. When we examine it in detail, the return of this project is very high in terms of the welfare of our farmers and the economy of our country. However, the National Agriculture Project" In my opinion, the main benefit of the agricultural sector lies in the legacy we will leave to future generations. Today, more than 7 billion people live in the world. About 10 percent of the population is fighting hunger. While the population is predicted to reach 10 billion in 20 years, we watch millions of hectares of agricultural land disappear due to various reasons every year. This actually means that the name of global problems will change in the near future and the real problem will be finding food. The sentence 'Turkey is one of the three self-sufficient countries' in our Social Studies books may still be true, but it is clear that it is no longer guaranteed. We should not despise the treasure we have and work harder. A great step is being taken in terms of establishing sustainable production in our country's soil. We cannot leave a better legacy to our children than this. In this respect, I support the National Agricultural Project and I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who works hard to fulfill our responsibilities in carrying the legacy of our ancestors to the next generations."
