World Leader in Turkish Flour Trade

12 million tons of flour is produced annually in Turkey, which has extremely favorable conditions for wheat production with its climate and geography. Turkey's flour export amount rose to 2.8 million tons with an increase of 40 percent in the last 5 years. As of the end of 2015, more than 50 percent of flour exports are made to Iraq, Syria and the Philippines.

While exports were made to 40 countries 10 years ago, today they are exported to more than 100 countries. According to the figures of the International Grain Trade Council, 30% of the world's flour trade is in the hands of Turkey. Turkey, which is the world leader in flour export, increased its flour export by 5.2 percent in 2015 compared to the previous year on value basis.

There are many citizens who do not know that bread made with Turkish flour is consumed in more than 100 countries.

Despite the fact that bread, which has been a staple food since the very beginning of human history, has occupied a large place in our lives, it is not counted as a special product. If the exported product was "our plane, our car", there would probably be no one in the country who did not know about it. However, there are many citizens who do not know that we are by far the leader in world flour exports and that bread made with Turkish flour is consumed in more than 100 countries in the world.

Ulusoy Un Ranks Among The Top Exporting Companies

Ulusoy Un's main field of activity is the production, trade, domestic and international sales of wheat flour, bran and other raw materials, and domestic and international trade of various grains, especially wheat.

Today, our company has two factories in Çorlu and Samsun with a total wheat processing capacity of 900 tons per day. We are strong both in the domestic market and in the foreign market. Since export is our focus, we started exporting in 1995 and so far we have exported flour to 82 countries in 5 continents. According to the data of the Turkish Exporters Assembly announced in 2016, we ranked 301st among the top 1000 exporters in Turkey in 2015, and ranked third in our sector.
