Fahrettin Ulusoy, an important businessman and entrepreneur of the region, met with young people at Ondokuz Mayıs University. The famous businessman gave advice to young people about business life and career planning in an interview titled “Fahrettin Ulusoy with the Youth” organized jointly by the Food Group and the Industrial Engineering Excellence Group.

The event held at the Engineering Faculty Conference Hall was attended by the Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Şenol Eren, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Sevilhan Mennan, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. Fehmi Yazıcı, many academicians and students attended.

We brought our experience and knowledge together with the university

Making the opening speech of the conference on behalf of both communities, Food Community academic advisor Assoc. Dr. Hasan Temiz said, “The accumulation of knowledge we call experience does not come from reading and writing. This is only possible by living for a long time and getting out of things. That's why we wanted to bring you experience together and invited Fahrettin Ulusoy, one of the important entrepreneurs and businessmen of our region and our country. I would like to thank our brother Fahrettin for sparing time for us and sharing his experience.” said.

Experience spoke

Fahrettin Ulusoy, President of Ulusoy Un’s Board of Directors, frankly shared his experiences in business life with university students and academics.

To be successful, you must love first.

Saying that he has a 46-year business life, Ulusoy said, “The measure of success varies from person to person. The success of some is material, the success of others is spiritual. If you want to be successful, you must first love what you do. If you don't like it, you have zero chance of success in my opinion. I think you will either not work in that job, you will find the job you love, or you will say you have to love it.” said.

Set your goal, be patient

“If you love your job and set a goal, you can get somewhere.” Ulusoy said that he aimed to become a big wholesaler first and then establish a factory.

Ulusoy said, “It is useful to know how to be patient in the job you are in. If you respect your work, they will definitely notice you one day.” said.

The condition of success is team play.

Ulusoy said that success is nourished by team spirit, “One of the conditions for success is team play. Working with good staff is a great opportunity for an employer. It is a chance for the employee to work with an employer who knows how to share.” expressed in his words.

Ulusoy, by telling anecdotes from his business life, also linked the ways to be successful with good planning, budget, work discipline, being positive and being reliable.

Ulusoy also talked about the employer's view, “Our businesses are no longer ours; It belongs to this country, its employees. That's why we have to take the necessary measures to transfer them to future generations." said.
