LICENSED WAREHOUSE INVESTMENT MAKES ULUSOY UN LEAP

Ulusoy Un increased its sales revenue by 61% in the first six months of the year. Emphasizing that the licensed warehouse investment they launched this year was effective in this increase, Ulusoy Un President of the Board Eren Günhan Ulusoy noted that they aim to increase their share in the global market with another licensed warehouse investment that they will put into operation in 2018.

Ulusoy Un, which serves in the sector with its two factories with a wheat processing capacity of 900 tons per day, achieved a total sales revenue of 826 million TL in the first half of this year, increasing 61 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. The company, which exports flour to 82 countries in 5 continents, increased its gross profit, which was 34.2 million TL in the first six months of last year, to 53.9 million TL in the same period of this year. The company, which has a 6% share in the flour market exported from Turkey to the world, aims to increase its share in the global market to 10% with its new investments.

While we produce approximately 14 million tons per year, we only offer 25% of this to the world market. "Turkey alone carries out almost one third of the total flour trade. While Turkey is the absolute leader in this field, the share of Europe in the world flour trade is only around 7 percent," he said.
