Eren Günhan Ulusoy, President of Turkish Flour Industrialists' Federation (TUSAF) and President of Ulusoy Un’s Board of Directors, said that Turkey ranks first in the world in flour exports and that the industry will close this year with 3.5 million tons of exports. Noting that last year's exports were 2.8 million tons, Ulusoy said, "There is a serious increase in exports to Sudan. We can say that Sudan and Iraq carried the flour export. There will be an increase of 25 percent in tonnage and 10 percent in dollar terms in exports. This year's export revenue will be 1 billion 70 million dollars.” said.

Describing the flour industrialists as the export champions of the world, Ulusoy explained that in 2015, more than 50 percent of Turkey's flour exports were made to Iraq, Syria and the Philippines. Ulusoy said:

“Iraq exports increased rapidly after 2008 and exceeded 1 million tons in 2015. Turkey has become the sole player in the Iraqi export market. The possibility of similar processes to take place in Syria shows the growth potential of exports to this country. While exporting to only 40 countries 10 years ago, today it exports to more than 100 countries. Turkey; According to the data of the International Grain Council, it ranks first in the world in flour export by making 30 percent of the world flour trade in the 2015/16 season.

Turnover increased 16 times

EREN Günhan Ulusoy emphasized that although it was a difficult year, they will close 2016 with growth. Stating that they increased their turnover from 1 billion 30 million TL last year to 1.2 billion TL this year, Ulusoy continued: “Our company, which was founded by Fahrettin Ulusoy in 1969, has 2 factories with a wheat processing capacity of 900 tons/day in Samsun and Çorlu today. operates with silos, warehouses and free zone warehouses with a grain storage capacity of more than 100 thousand tons. We opened our company to the public in 2014. In 2015, we ranked 301st among 1,000 companies that export the most in Turkey. While our turnover was 61 million TL in 2006, it increased to 1 billion 30 million TL in 2015. Our turnover has increased 16 times in 9 years.”


Sources from public offering to investments

Explaining that they used the financing from the public offering for investment, Eren Günhan Ulusoy continued: “Our factory investment in Samsun continues. With the new factory in which we will invest 30 million TL, our daily wheat processing capacity of 900 tons will increase to 1,500 tons/day. We established the Ulidaş company for licensed warehousing. Our company is investing in a licensed warehouse of 42 thousand tons in Çorum/Alaca. We received the 60,000-ton Yozgat/Sorgun part of TMO's 1 million-ton Grain Storages Leasing Tender. With this project, our storage capacity will exceed 200 thousand tons.”
