ULUSOY UN RISES 11 STEPS IN EXPORTS

Ulusoy Un, one of the reliable food suppliers carrying Turkish flour to the world, rose 11 steps among the 1,000 companies that exported the most in 2014, announced by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM).

Ulusoy Un, the first company of Samsun to be traded in Borsa Istanbul Inc., rose 11 steps compared to the previous year and ranked 513th, according to 2014 TIM data. Ulusoy Un ranks 5th among exporting flour producers.

Ulusoy Un Board Chairman Günhan Ulusoy said that as one of the biggest flour producers in Turkey, they have reached a capacity that exports to 80 countries in 5 continents in a period of 26 years. Underlining that they are one of the world's reliable food suppliers with a daily wheat processing capacity of 900 tons, Ulusoy made the following assessments: “We are increasing our sales capacity with our developing domestic market and growing export markets. Our turnover increased by 5 percent in the first three months of 2015 compared to the same period of the previous year. In order to meet the increasing demand, we aim to reach a daily production capacity of 1,500 tons by the end of 2016.”

Production capacity will increase to 1,500 tons per day

Ulusoy stated that the daily production capacity will reach 1,500 tons after the completion of the new factory investment with a daily processing capacity of 600 tons, the foundations of which were laid last year in Samsun Food Organized Industrial Zone, “In 2014, we exported to 29 countries in total, including Samoa, Suriname and the Democratic Republic of Congo. . In the medium and long term, we aim to be a global player in the sector by continuing our growth with new investments in Turkey and abroad.”
