The 2014 results of the “Top 500 Companies of Anatolia” research, which we have prepared with the contributions of the Turkish Economy Bank (TEB), have been announced. Although the Turkish economy slowed down again in 2014, the Anatolian Tigers continued to grow rapidly.

The real increase in the total turnover of Anadolu 500, which was 7.3 percent in 2013, increased to 9.3 percent in 2014. However, the fact that the increase in exports remained at only 0.6 percent in 2014 shows that this performance is based on domestic demand. This performance increase based on domestic demand did not reflect positively on profitability and Anadolu 500's total profit decreased by 16.2 percent in real terms.
