Ulusoy Un, which is in the ISO500 and TIM500 rankings with a turnover of 4 billion 345 million TL in 2020, and the third largest company in its sector in terms of turnover, bought Söke Un, which produces 100% for the domestic sector.

Ulusoy Un made 168.9 million liras of the payment in cash yesterday in the purchase, which was realized with a cost of approximately 180 million liras. The remaining part will be paid on January 11, 2023 as 650 thousand Euros.

Ulusoy Un, which has a daily wheat processing capacity of 2,100 tons in Samsun and Çorlu, has a grain storage capacity of more than 300 thousand tons. Ulusoy Un has reached a daily production capacity of 1100 tons with the factories of Söke Un in Ankara and Söke, which it purchased from british private equity fund Mediterra Capital Partners.


AN IMPORTANT STEP FOR TURKEY

Ulusoy Un Board Chairman Dr. Eren Günhan Ulusoy said, “We are experiencing a second breaking point for our company, which was established as a family company and went public in December 2014. With the purchase, we will have increased our daily wheat processing capacity of 2,100 tons to 3,200 tons. The purchase was also an important step for our country and our industry, which has undertaken approximately 1 billion dollars of the 4.7 billion dollars of world flour export and maintained its leadership in flour export in the world for 8 years.”
